Local School to Host Annual Clambake and Car Show

Manchester’s Trinity High School will be hosting its second annual Classic American Clambake and Car Show this upcoming weekend. Scheduled to take place at the high school, located at 581 Bridge Street, the event will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 12 to 4 PM.

Award trophies will be presented to participating cars in categories like Best in Show, People’s Choice, Most Original, Most Unique and Furthest Traveled. No registration fee is required for those interested in participating and the first 50 cars to register will receive an insulated goodie tote bag.

Activities of the event include a pie eating contest, home run derby, and horseshoes. Many raffles and an auction will also take place during the day. Items including tickets to Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics games, NASCAR races, and American Idol and Moody Blues concerts. Other items include a Rondo autographed basketball, gift certificates, and gift baskets.

The Clambake includes food like lobsters, steamers, barbecued chicken, hot dogs and hamburgers. Food tickets can be purchased before the day of the event online here.
