Day 3 On the Road to Roses, a Potpourri of events Thursday with the Lancers

This remarkable “feature length” video of the Lancer Marching Band and Color Guard starts off with practice at Diamond Bar High School Watch the animation of the funny sousaphones.

At Pasadena City College and the Bandfest, the announcer let slip that Governor John Lynch had planned to travel with the band but at the last moment could not clear his schedule. The crowd breaks up with laughter when he said, “Can you imagine Governor Schwarzenegger traveling with one of our bands.  You will be able to see all the performances in this video from start to finish, unlike the pay-per-view.

Practice on the Ice at the Staples Arena in Los Angeles, it has been reported that this is the first High School Band to play on the Kings Ice. Why not! These three hundred and five members are no stranger to the hockey performing for years at the Verizon Wireless Center in New Hampshire.

According to reports, the Kings staff were very impressed with the group’s performance and professionalism.  The band has let us know that the Staples Ice Center has provided a DVD of the half time performance.  They will be returning home with that.
