Yogurt Company to Host Costume Swap

With the approach of fall comes one of the most anticipated holidays for children and adults of all ages; Halloween. Children dream about the costumes they’ll wear, the doors they’ll knock on, and the candies they’ll collect. Parents worry about walking for hours with their little ones, cavities, and the cost of the costumes their children dream about. But this year, Stonyfield Yogurt can help, at least with the costume portion of the holiday.

This Saturday, October 8, 2011, the Stonyfield Visitors Center in Londonderry will be hosting a costume swap. The concept is simple, bring a slightly used and clean costume to the visitors center and get a different, slightly used and clean costume for your children.

Don’t need a new costume but have some old ones lying around? Stonyfield can help with that too. Bring your costumes to the visitors center by Thursday, October 6, 2011, and Stonyfield will give you a free multipack or quart of your choice. This will help build a collection of costumes for other parents, and you get free yogurt in return!

Stonyfield will also be hosting a Fall Festival during the costume swap! Children and parents can enjoy raffles, a farmer’s market, Halloween crafts, games, music and seasonal dishes and much more.

Join the Stonyfield Visitors Center in celebrating fall this Saturday. The costume swap and festival will be held from 10 AM until 2 PM at the visitors center located at 10 Burton Drive here in Londonderry. For more information and directions to the center, click here!

Stonyfield Yogurt began as a farming school in Wilton, New Hampshire in 1983 with the goals of helping family farms survive and protect the environment. At first, yogurt was sold to help fund the school, which had a leaky barn and just a few Jersey cows. The founders, Samuel Kaymen and Gary Hirshberg, current CE-Yo, did most of work milking cows, making yogurt and sales calls and delivering the yogurt.
