Your website INcorrectly lists the Art on the Common on Saturday September 8th. The correct date is the 6th.

Wrong year, that was 2007 it was on Sept 8th. 2008 it (is/was) on the 6th.
This year we will be promoting the Art on the Common Event for the third year.
I’m not sure I’m at the right site but my question is: what is going on at the intersection of Rte 28 and Auburn Rd.? Hopefully the exit ramp is being extended past Auburn Road so it’ll ease the congestion of those trying to turn left from Auburn toward Derry. If the ramp isn’t extended could Independence Rd. return to being a 2 way so we could use Liberty Rd. to ease the hazard of the Rte28/ Auburn Rd. Intersection going southboound. Thanks,
Exit 5 is being expanded to make ready for the I-93 expansion. We will work up a story on this, Auburn Road will not be shut down as we understand it the plans. Route 28 will go to 4 lanes in that area. The best place for information is at this website. http://www.rebuildingi93.com/
This still has not been addressed. Why can’t we make a left turn onto Independence as we used to before Verani Way and access the route to Derry at Liberty?. Lou D from Salem (the gambling guy) would love this intersection
Thanks for the quick response and I look forward to a plain language explanation of what is going to happen. I’ve looked at the website you’ve referenced and I’m still can’t figure out how leaving Auburn Rd. and making the left turn to Derry is going to be any less of an adventure with the NB crossing traffic, SB turning traffic into Auburn Rd, and merging with the SB traffic already headed to the Derry area. If they make it 2 lanes both ways it’ll get even more exciting. I’m sure someone has thought of this and was hoping there was a “Cliff notes” answer. Hello, I just wanted to say that this is a great website. I like that you have stories related to the town, you have breaking news, the Emergency scanners, videos and photos. You even have the lunch menus and such. It’s also great to see Joes 2 Cents once again. Much better than the other option in town. Keep up the good work!
I stumbled upon your website after signing on for Google Alerts for Londonderry NH! I am so glad I did. I am not only a Londonderry resident but am a Realtor as well. Its great to have a local resource to direct my buyers and sellers to for information concerning my hometown! I hope to be able to share some of this great info not only through my facebook page but with my clients that are looking to make a move to Londonderry!! Thank you!!

Does Londonderrynh.net have a link to the article in US News & World Report (?) about LHS being a “parents choice” pick as has been referenced by school administration?
We do not.
The reason may surprise you. The story was in Business Week (it may have also been in the publication you indicated) it was about the rating given by Great Schools they are located at greatschools.net. With lots of adds, lots of pop ups, portals that require looking at an ad, gateways that try to get you to provide your email. In the big picture not a fun site to visit.
The site is very “spammy” and we try not to have links on our Hometown News site leading to this type of experience. You can search the (greatschools) site if you wish, the Londonderry report is easy to find.
There was an article out 2 weeks ago. I can’t remember which publication it was. I saw it on the internet. The article was about the most expensive suburb to live in for each state. Guess which one was picked for NH?
Well if it was anything other than “Derry” the article was wrong!

selling londonderry police badges via ebay through the lnh.net sight. I’m sure it is an oversight, but it bothered me so much I thought I would let you know.
I think you’ll find that Steve and Kathy sell adspace for revenue (like almost any website like this) so that it is free to the users. The ads are then “Targeted” and Ebay shows ads about Londonderry. Often I’ve seen Londonderry, Ireland merchandise there…It’s not really Steve or Kathy’s fault, its just what Ebay pipes in.

Chris means well, but currently we are not charging anything to anybody to have adds on our site. That is something that could change if our readership continues to grow. As far as Ebay, we receive nothing from them and do not control what they place up there for sale. I believe am not the technical person but these are Google Ads.
I will have Steve reply when he returns from a meeting later today if the information I am providing is incorrect.

The site is monetized (fancy word for they pay us) by Google Ads when people legitimately click on them. It pays for the bandwidth. We had free adds from ebay for a long time, then became a ebay partner. If someone clicks on a auction ad and if someone bids and if someone buys, we get a commission. I can not say how much (terms of service) but if Londonderry had payphones, we could not afford to make a call on what we have made in the last 3 months.
As it relates to Police Patches you should check with the police, they trade them quite often. Ebay is very particular about uses of the service they run that are not legal (I sell and buy on ebay with over 1000 positive comments) I am sure that they would not allow the sale if it were inappropriate.
We have had many requests to place ads on the site and people willing to pay. This could be due to the quality of our readers and the traffic volume on the site. More on that soon.

You may know someone that knows about the rules on trading these items, I do not think it is a problem, let us know.
I come to the site quite often and the past several weeks the site has basically come to a crawl when clicking to pages, links. etc. The home page even loads slow. I don’t think this is just my connection as I have 2 lines and both give the same results. Different browsers don’t help so I wonder if you have hot some type of capacity issue or coding issue that is slowing the site down? Is more capacity needed or is the server this runs on not configured or scaled correctly? Again, I don’t think it is just me, but if so I apologize and will just wait for page loads.
Thanks for the input Dave, we are making some changes. Today may be a bad day to analyze it with thousands of visits. I will contact you by email if you do not mind to do some testing. Just before this incident we did put in some caching software, we should be faster. I think your past requests moved us to provide automated Blackberry support, it was a great idea and many have appreciated it.
This has been a “ice storm” type of event server load speaking. It hit without warning.
Our recent advertising requests are intended to provide funding for expansion so we can continue (and we will) to provide the service. 2 1/3 years and almost 3,000 stories and 6,000 comments!
i enjoy reading this site about londonderry and its surroundings. i come from western kentucky and our area was settled by scotts-irish or ulster-scotts and many of the last names in londonderry are in our area. i notice alot of the customs and churches are the same.
