Event: Winter Storm Watch Alert
Significant snowfall is possible Wednesday and Wednesday Night
A warm front extending from low pressure over the Great Lakes will approach the region late tonight and Wednesday morning. Ahead of the front, snow is expected to develop Wednesday morning from southwest to northeast across the watch area. Low pressure developing on the warm front will result in snow falling heavily at times late Wednesday morning into Wednesday afternoon. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches an hour are possible during this time.
Along the immediate coast, the snow is expected to change to rain Wednesday afternoon. However, before the changeover occurs, more than 6 inches of snow may fall. In addition, increasing winds may result in blowing and drifting of the heavy wet snow.
Further inland, snow will fall heavily at times through Wednesday afternoon. Across interior southeast New Hampshire and interior sections of southwest and central Maine, rain and sleet may mix with the snow in the late afternoon and evening. In these areas, more than 6 inches of snow is possible before any mix with rain or sleet occurs.
Across the mountains and foothills, snow is expected to fall heavily at times into Wednesday evening. Even in these locations, sleet or freezing rain may mix with the snow at times, and more than 6 inches of snow is possible before any mix.
As the precipitation becomes lighter Wednesday night, it may fall in the form of rain, freezing rain or sleet. This will depend on surface temperatures, but little additional snowfall is expected after Wednesday evening.
The snow may start early enough to impact the morning commute across portions of southern New Hampshire and southwest Maine. Conditions are expected to deteriorate fairly rapidly Wednesday morning, and the evening commute may be significantly impacted. If you have plans to travel Wednesday or Wednesday night, be sure to keep abreast of the latest forecast.

This can’t be happening again. I can’t go 10 days without power again. I feel like I am in the groundhog day movie.
