Police Log For 11/26/09-12/02/09
Third Place Caller reports a “Large Orange Thing” in the middle of the road. An officer removed the Hazard, with no further detail given, use your imagination.
Second Place Caller reports 6 boys continually walk by the house mooning the occupants, and yelling at them. Youths were counseled by the Londonderry Police. The moon was in the first quarter and would not be full until Dec 2nd. Temps were 51 degrees and overcast with winds from the north at 10 mile per hour.
First Place A Taco Bell employee called to report an intoxicated woman with an open container was trying to order food. The police, upon arrival, were unable to make contact with the female. About 25 minutes later, when doing a follow up on the woman, they were able to confirm she was in her residence for the night.
Each week, Londonderry Hometown Online News will publish the police logs for your review. We will also pick the most humorous or interesting of the stories and give them a first, second, and third place rating. If there are any that you found interesting or funny and think they should be in the top three, feel free to contact us.
While we do have fun with the Londonderry Police log and we do have our own serious crimes committed in Londonderry, sometimes we need to reflect on what other communities consider “The crime of the week.”
This week’s Crimeline crime of the week in Manchester is an Armed Robbery
Reported to Manchester Police on Saturday December 5th, 2009.
On that date at approx. 4:30 a.m. officers responded to Tedeschi Food Mart at 245 Maple Street for report of an armed robbery. According to the clerk, two male suspects entered the store and demanded money.
“One of the suspects was holding a sword with skulls on the handle. As the clerk attempted to flee the store a struggle ensued and the clerk was stabbed in the back.”
The suspects then took an undetermined amount of money from the register and fled in an unknown direction. The clerk was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects are described as males wearing hooded sweatshirts. One of the suspects wore a mask over his face.
Anyone with information concerning this crime or any criminal activity, please call the Manchester Crimeline at 624-4040. Manchester Crimeline will pay up to $2,500.00 in cash for anonymous information that leads to the arrest and indictment of individuals involved.
Manchester Police Website, including a interactive crime map.
While we also create original stories from information in the police log and other sources, we offer you nearly the entire Londonderry police blotter! At times we remove small pieces of information like phone numbers or obscene language. When other media outlets only provide their “Selections” from the log, if you select “read more” you select what interests you in Londonderry.

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY DERRY DISTRICT COURT
11/21/2009
I, OFFICER DANIEL M HURLEY , being duly sworn, herewith make application for the issuance of an Arrest warrant against the defendant:
Defendant’s Name: OREN SEATTEN
DOB: 09/04/1970
I have information that the crime of Simple Assault has been committed by the defendant as follows: (describe source, facts indicating reliability and credibility of source, and nature of information; if based in personal knowledge, so state):
On 11/06/2009 at approximately 1410 hours, I responded to the lobby of Londonderry Police Headquarters to meet with an individual in regards to a Simple Assault. Upon my arrival to the lobby, I met with the victim:
MARK PHILLIPS
DOB: 08/18/1958
Phillips explained that on 11/03/2009 he had an altercation with an individual whom he rents space to at the L-Town Garage on Coal Pocket Road in Londonderry NH. Phillips identified this individual as:
OREN SEATTEN
DOB: 09/04/1970
Phillips provided me with a hand written and typed statement describing an incident that had occurred on 11/03/2009 at approximately 1420 hours. Phillips advised me that on this date and time he was at the L-Town Garage on Coal Pocket Road in Londonderry NH picking up automobile parts. While at the L-Town Garage, Phillips encountered Seatten and a conversation/ debate over money that Seatten owed Phillips ensued. During this conversation Phillips informed me that Seatten began to get become argumentative and raise his voice. Phillips informed me that he walked away in an effort to diffuse the situation. Phillips informed me that as he started to walk away Seatten exclaimed “Don’t you walk away from me”. Phillips advised me that he then told Seatten something to the effect of ‘I shouldn’t have to come to you (about the money), you should be making arrangements with me’. Phillips informed me that at this point Seatten began walking very fast toward him in a charging manner. Phillips advised me that after closing the gap, Seatten chest bumped him (Phillips) and got very close to his face stating “You think you’re a tough guy?”.
Phillips advised me that the chest-bump jarred his body, and was significant in impact. Phillips explained that he put his foot behind his person at the last second to brace himself, and that if he didn’t do so, he would have been knocked back.
Phillips informed me that at this point he took out his cell phone and dialed 911. Phillips informed me that Seatten witnessed him do this and walked away.
Seatten was contact and confirmed Phillips account of what occurred exactly, with exception to the physical contact.
Based upon the foregoing information, there is probable cause to believe that the defendant did commit the crime or offense as stated above.
Wherefore, I request the issuance of an arrest warrant and an order for a duly authorized officer to take the defendant and bring him/her before the court having jurisdiction.

GERSTEIN AFFIDAVIT
12/02/2009
ROCKINGHAM, SS
I, OFFICER DANIEL S PERRY, have reasonable grounds to believe that JONATHAN GODIN (D.O.B. 10/10/1988) has committed the crime(s) of: STALKING
based on the following probable cause:
On 12/01/2009 at approximately 2340 hours, I was driving through the parking lot at Whippersnappers night club on Route 102. While driving around the front of the building, I noticed to my left a white colored vehicle that was stopped in the middle of the travel lane between two rows of vehicles. The vehicle was running and there were 2-3 people standing outside the driver side door that appeared to be speaking to the operator. One of the people standing at the door was a male subject wearing a yellow colored shirt that read STAFF on the back. Being familiar with the Whippersnapper establishment, I recognized that he was a member of the crowd control staff or a bouncer. This caught my attention, and as I drove around the perimeter of the parked vehicles, I observed the people outside the vehicle watching me. At that time they started walking away and the vehicle started to leave. I made a left turn at the end of the row of vehicles and met the white vehicle as it was also approaching the end of the row. I yielded to the white vehicle and let it leave the parking lot in front of me. (It should be noted that in the past on some occasions, when there is a confrontation of any sort at Whippersnappers, the staff there does not always call the police. Often times when they do call, it is only after one or both parties have left. Knowing this, the staff member that was at the vehicle had raised my suspicions about the occupant(s) of that vehicle.)
The vehicle made a right turn out of the parking lot and was travelling in the right westbound lane, I followed suit and travelled westbound in the left lane. At this point I was looking for any type of eratic operation, I did not observe any right away, but I did notice the vehicle had a brake light out on the left side of the vehicle. Travelling west bound on Route 102, we approached the intersection with Mammoth Rd. I typed the vehicles registration on to my laptop, it showed the vehicle’s registration was expired. (Due to excessive dirt on the rear license plate I was unable to clearly make out the month sticker on the plate while traveling behind it.) Before attempting to stop the vehicle, I waited for it to make the left turn onto Mammoth Rd. The vehicle made the left turn, then made a quick right turn into the Bank of America parking lot. I followed the vehicle into the lot and activated my emergency lights, the vehicle continued around the parking lot to the other side, then stopped right at the exit to the bank. The vehicle had registration number NH 274 2569
Upon approach to the vehicle, I noticed another white vehicle pull into the Bank of America parking lot and then pull into a parking space. A female subject exited the vehicle and started making her way over to the vehicle I had stopped, I instructed her to stop and to stay where she was. I asked her what she was doing, she stated that was her sister and that she wanted to talk to her, I instructed her to stay there and asked her if she had a cell phone, she stated that she did. I told the female subject to use the phone to talk to her sister once I was finished. I approached the vehicle and identified the operator as the registered owner:
Erin McNeill
DOB:10/07/1988
207 Range Rd # A
Windham, NH 03087
A male passenger in the vehicle was identified as:
Jonathan Godin
DOB: 10/10/1988
207 Range Rd # A
Windham, NH 03087
After identifying both subjects, I returned to my cruiser to conduct a SPOTS check on both subjects. Officer Laren arrived to assist with the call. During the conduct of the checks, TCO Tuck informed that there was a protection order against Jonathan, with the victim being Erin. I asked TCO Tuck to confirm if it was valid and she was able to confirm, but did not give me the court of origin at that time. (It should be noted that on 10/14/2009, I arrested Jonathan for being in violation of a protection order that also listed Erin as the victim. It turned out the the protection order was part of his bail conditions since he had been arrested on Domestic Violence related charges in Windham a short time before.)
I returned to the vehicle and instructed Erin to come to the rear of the vehicle. I issued Erin a summons for having an unregistered vehicle, and informed her that it would have to be towed. I then asked Erin about the protection order, she stated that she and Jonathan had gone to court in Salem on 11/02/2009, and that Jonathan had paid $700 in fines and that as far as she knew the order had been lifted. I informed Erin that there was still a protection order listed in the state system, and that he was going to get arrested again.
I then spoke to Jonathan, and his story matched that of Erin’s. I asked Jonathan if he could produce any documentation confirming the order had been lifted, he stated that all he on him was the copy of his complaints from Windham, and a receipt at home showing he paid the fines. I informed Jonathan that was not going to work and that he was still going to be taken into custody.
Jonathan was taken into custody without incident, and brought back to the station for processing. Erin was also taken into custody by Officer Laren, for his report see 09-670-AR.
While I was speaking to Erin and Jonathan, Officer LAren had gone over and spoke to Erin’s sister. Erin’s sister was identified as:
Jessica McNeill
DOB: 01/05/1983
12A Mundy Ln
Derry, NH 03038
Jessica wrote in a written statement that she was at Whippersnappers along with Erin and Jonathan. She stated that Erin and Jonathan had got into an argument inside the bar. She stated that the pair went out into the parking lot where she attempted (unsuccessfully) for approximately 45 min to get their house key away from Jonathan. She tried to convince Erin to drive home and that she would take Jonathan to his fathers house. She stated that Whippersnappers staff became involved, Jonathan got back into Erin’s vehicle to go back to their apt. Jessica stated that she was following them home to be sure Erin made there safely.
Due to the nature of the offense, there is no bail given and Jonathan is to be held until his arraignment.
