Londonderry Knocks Down Fire at 22 Fairway

At about 3:30 this afternoon Londonderry Fire received a call from a neighbor on Fairway Road in north central part of town. They reported a fire on the second floor of the home at 22 Fairway Road. Arriving 4 minutes later Capt. James Rogers reported “A 1 1/2 story wood frame light smoke showing. Fire on second floor.” While one battalion entered the home another positioned a ladder on the side of the house.

On our Londodnerry Fire Scanner audio you can hear a report from inside the home muffled by a mask that the “Fire was knocked down.” Command reported this back to alarm and indicated the crews were overhauling and checking for extension to the attic of the home at 3:41

By 3:47 th crews had completed a primary search of the first and second floors, Capt. Roger reported the fire extinguished with no extension found and under control at 3:51pm. Command was terminated at about 4:20 with multiple other medical calls occurring in Londonderry. These required mutual aid from a number of nearby towns.
