Breaking News Reports on Friday included a report of the Londonderry Police responding to the Grapevine Circle area for reports of a person with a gun shooting. On arrival police reported in that 3 shots were fired, a fourth could be heard over the radio as this was reported in.
Preliminary information from Londonderry Police indicate that they were contacted by a neighbor who reported “The youth next door is shooting a gun on his own property.”
Five officers responded to the area and attempted to locate the shooter. The area was blocked off by 2:13pm, at the same time students were arriving home. Mid afternoon 21 year old Michael Tragno of 5 Grapevine Circle was taken into custody. He was released on personal recognizance bail just after 5pm after being charged with Reckless Conduct and Placing another in danger.
He is due to appear in Derry District Court on December 1st at 8:30 am. Lt. Saunders of the Londonderry Police had no further information over the weekend.

The Londonderry GIS system measuring tool used in that area indicates no more than 150 feet between any location in the woods and homes in the area.
State Regulations on Shooting a firearm in Londonderry
It is illegal to shoot a firearm or bow and arrow within 300 feet of a permanently occupied dwelling without permission of the owner or occupant, or from the owner of the land on which the person shooting the firearm or bow and arrow is situated. A firearm may not be discharged within 300 feet of any commercial, educational or medical building, or outdoor public gathering place.
Firearms may not be discharged within the compact area of any town or city (any contiguous area containing 6 or more buildings used as part time or permanent dwellings where each is within 300 feet of one of the other buildings, plus a 300-foot-wide perimeter around all of the buildings).
