Warm Homes Bonfire By Mack’s Apples this weekend

Huge Londonderry Bonfire Sunday Night at 6!

With temps in the 50′s and the leftover hurricane rains rolling through Londonderry a bonfire would be nice tonight if you could just find a place to get warm and dry.  Normally the annual bonfire to benefit warm homes would be held on this Saturday night.  To see if attendance could be increased organizers moved it to Sunday night this year.

Warm Homes 2009 Bonfire sponsored by Mack's Apples Sunday 11/15 at 6pm

Mack’s apples is not only providing the fuel this year they are managing the event with promotion and staffing.  Scaled back from other years, the event is still a great time to get outside with the family.  It starts at 6pm, and by the hand painted sign it looks like they will have cider and donuts, or cider donuts hard to tell with the sign.  Be sure to bring some money to drop in the warm homes can the donations will keep your neighbors here in Londonderry warm all winter!

Temps are expected to be at 65 degrees when the fire is lit off at 6pm, last year temps were in the 20′s with a north west wind of about 25 gusting to 35!  Should be a pleasent night out for young and old.

Held near the pond back behind the barn on the dirt road to Mack’s U-Pick one near the trail head to the Adams Pond trail.  If you get there late, you can’t miss it, the pile is about 20 feet tall, the fire should be 80 feet or so in the air!

This is one of the largest bonfires we have ever seen in New England.  If you are nearby come on over and enjoy some fun around the fire.
