Seniors Play on Londonderry Field for Last Time

While no one was sure if they could have been back for playoffs, the Friday night game in Salem ended not just football this year but also the halftime shows for the Londonderry Lancer Marching Band and Color Guard. Band Director Andy Soucey recognized 70 seniors for the service and leadership they have come to provide other band members as they join and tour with this world renowned band. This at what we now know was the last game of the season.

In the years these young men and women have played in the marching band or served in the color guard they have performed in China, New York City and marched in the inaugural parade in Washington DC. As they travel through life in the future every one of these events and the dozens not listed have shaped the leaders they will become.

Andy Soucy said when asked about these seniors, “Most all of these seniors have been marching since 2006. Many thanks to everyone in Londonderry for the interest and support given to the music program. These are superb students who will really be missed!”
