Snow in Londonderry

6 More inches of snow, Londonderry

Late last Saturday Londonderry had a bit of snow, enough to snowboard on as a matter of fact! Reports today came from Mt.Washington bragging of 4 inches of snow at the summit. No big deal especially for two youths from Derry, who found or made some snow and brought it to the Londonderry High School.

At about 6:15pm October 10th Londonderry Police traveling on Mammoth Road thought they saw what appeared to be two youths shoveling snow out the back of a pickup. Upon investigation and after reporting the Ford pickup trucks license plate to headquarters, the officer confirmed “It is snow.”

The police log also indicates “The two boys had snow on the hill on the side of the LHS fields. They also had a metal bench they were going to use for snowboarding. They were advised to get school permission, (they then) returned the bench and moved along.”

Later on the Londonderry Hometown Online News Police and Fire Scanner audio, Londonderry Police Headquarters did ask, “Did you determine if there was a freak snow storm in Derry?” No response was forthcoming from the officer.

      When you drive to Mt. Washington, put it in your truck (snow) and bring it back to snowboard on let us know, we will shoot it. Great photo op! As a mater of fact the our shot of the global warming sign at Mack’s that Andy did (the one in the snow) is number 21 out of 13.7 million photos. Who knows, we (you) may get to number one!

    Google regularly rotates their results but I routinely show up on the first page and often in the top slot for “gymnastics pictures” search
