From the sea to the sky, Hampton Beach will be the hot spot this upcoming weekend in New Hampshire as it hosts its 24th annual Seafood Festival. More than just food and friends, the festival features skydiving, contests, entertainment, and fireworks.
Beginning Friday, September 6, 2013 at 4 PM, and lasting until 6 PM Sunday, September 8, 2013, crowds will swarm to the popular beach for three days of events. Friday night will feature live entertainment with some of the best bands in the region playing jazz, oldies, and rock and roll.
Events throughout Saturday and Sunday will wow visitors, stuff stomachs, and thrill kids. Hosted by Pat Whitley Restaurant Show, culinary chef demonstrations will feature the region’s most famous chefs and offer guests a chance to watch, taste and get free recipes. Kiddieland will feature some of the best children celebrities including magicians, jugglers, clowns, musicians and story tellers.
More than 50 of the seacoast’s best restaurants will be serving New England’s famous seafood throughout the weekend; lobsters, fried clams, shrimp, BBQ ribs, steak tips, “bloomin’ onions” and more will be served seaside. Also, dozens of arts and crafts vendors will showcase their locally made products.
Day specific events include the annual Lobster Roll Eating Competition with some of the world-wide known competitive eaters and the final fireworks display of the summer on Saturday and the Skydiving Extravaganza on Sunday.
