Fundraiser Tuesday afternoon at Panera to Support Scout Eagle Project for Signs on Rail Trail

Londonderry Boy Scout Dale Larie will be holding a fundraiser at Panera in Derry on Tuesday afternoon from 2-6pm to raise money for his Eagle project.  Dale will be installing street crossing signs along the Londonderry Rail Trail from the North School to Season’s Lane.  Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to purchase the posts and signs for the project.

The Londonderry Rail Trail will be a 6.5 mile trail running from the Derry town line at Seasons Lane to the Manchester Airport.  The first mile of the Rail Trail will be paved later this year.  Londonderry Trailways is currently pursuing grant opportunities to complete paving of the entire trail.  The Rail Trail will provide residents with a safe, off-road recreational resource for biking, walking, and running.  A majority of residents expressed support for the Rail Trail in a survey conducted by the UNH Survey Center in 2012.

Stop in Panera Tuesday from 2pm – 6pm at 19 Manchester Rd, Derry for some great food for a great cause!   Customers must print out and present a copy of the flyer available here: PaneraBSA

You can either donate on-line through the Trailways web site and we’ll get the money to Dale or you can email a check made out “Dale Larie” and mail it to the Trailways at:
