LAFA Opening Day Parade and Ceremony this Saturday!

Families and supporters will line Mammoth Road near the Londonderry High School this Saturday, April 20, 2013, weather permitting, to watch the LAFA Opening Day Parade. The parade has become part of the tradition of that is Opening Day and many look forward to participating each year.

During the parade, players and coaches will march up Mammoth Road from the high school to the LAFA fields. Players will be dressed in uniform and teams will each carry a banner representing their team.

More than 1,000 people are anticipated to attend the parade. During the Opening Day ceremonies, LAFA will honor many community volunteers who have helped establish the LAFA program.

Players should meet their coaches before the parade in front of the high school at 7:30 AM. The parade will begin at about 7:45 AM. Players can meet their parents shortly after 8:00 AM on the President’s Field.
