The Community Service Committee of Saint Jude Parish is hosting its annual blood drive this week. Partnered with the American Red Cross, the parish will hold its Winter Blood Drive on Friday, January 25 from 1 PM until 7 PM.
St. Jude Parish is currently completing renovations on the Parish Hall and the Community Service Committee was recently notified that the construction required at Saint Jude Parish was to go longer than expected, and the annual Winter American Red Cross Blood Drive would not be able to be held.
Hearing about the construction issue the wonderful folks at our sister Parish, Saint Mark Parish, in South Londonderry, offer to host the drive. Paul Bergeron from the American Red Cross will be working with volunteers and staff from Saint Mark Parish, along with some of the Saint Jude volunteers to host the drive.
Many people cannot donate due to the cold and flu season being stronger than in recent years, couple that with the fact that the many snow/ice/ rain storms have kept the attendance at recent drives lower than normal…Saint Jude drives historically produce over 100 donors at a drive, a substantial amount in this time of need…
Please consider donating at this very important drive this Friday. If you need more information, please feel free to contact Vinny Curror at Mobile: 603-867-7472, or Paul Bergeron from the American Red Cross at 625-1951 x124
