The annual Christmas Tree Lighting on the Town Common will once again take place the first Sunday in December. At about 4 PM, or just when it starts to get dark, on December 2, lines of trees will be illuminated along the common. As part of the annual tradition, the trees will be decorated by local non-profit organizations.
Arrive early, as it believed that a special man in a red suit, along with his lovely wife, will be on the common. All the good little girls and boys can sit upon his lap and whisper their best Christmas wishes.
Hot cider and other refreshments will be available for those who gather among friends and family and enjoy the soft glow of lights from the trees. Be sure to dress warm and bring the kids for this fun annual event!
