In March of 2012, Steve Burl and business partner Dave Rizk leased Route 102 Gas and Service on Nashua Road in Londonderry. The station, having been open for a number of years prior, has been run by the pair ever since. However, Burl and Rizk are not new to the gas station business; both have owned a station in Massachusetts for the last 16 years.
Bringing a certain uniqueness to the gas station industry, Route 102 Gas and Service is a full service station. Customers simply drive up and wait in their car while staff at the station pump the gas. Even with this special quality, gas prices are very competitive with other local stations.
Under the new management, Route 102 Gas and Service has been revamped, offering more repairs for cars in its garage. From brakes and tires to engines or a simple inspection, the garage takes concern for all customers. “When a car fails inspection, I bring the customer out to the car so they can see why it failed,” said Burl. “It is important people see that so they understand why the car failed.”
Burl is a very hands-on owner. He works alongside his staff, whether it be pumping gas or in the garage. After working in the printing industry and landscaping, he began working at Rizk’s Massachusetts station. Since 2000, he has been in the auto industry.
Route 102 Gas and Service is open Monday through Friday, from 8 AM until 5 PM, and on Saturdays from 8 AM until 2 PM. Be sure to visit them at 7 Nashua Road, Londonderry.
