Old Home Day Road Race Results Announced

Londonderry’s annual Lundgren 5k race, a part of the town’s Old Home Day tradition for 33 years, experienced another successful year. Nearly 280 competitors finished the race this year, with runners as young as 7-year-old Colby Carey of Litchfield, NH, to as seasoned as 85-year-old Lou Peters of Salem, NH, crossing the finish line.

Placing first overall this year was Kevin Balster, a 27-year-old Londonderry resident. Balster crossed the finish line more than a full minute before this year’s second place winner, Cory Ahern, 25 of Londonderry. Third place was captured by 16 year old Damon Kilgore, also of Londonderry. This was Balster’s second consecutive year winning the Lundgren 5k Road Race. Last year, he finished the race in 16:52; this year he beat that by almost a full minute with a finishing time of 15:56.
