Old Home Day Celebration Begins Next Wednesday

Change to the High School Cafe for the dinner and concert.  This due to possible rain.

The annual Londonderry Old Home Day celebration kicks off next week with Senior Night on Wednesday, August 15! The fun-filled evening will begin with a free barbecue followed by a concert at the Bandstand on the Town Common.

Londonderry senior citizens are invited to attend the barbecue from 5 PM until 6 PM at the High School Cafe. The concert will take place from 6:30 PM until 8 PM and will feature the Windham Swing Band. It is open to everyone!

In the event on inclement weather, the Barbecue and Concert will be moved to the Londonderry High School Cafeteria. Although the barbecue is free, those that wish to attend must have a ticket. Tickets are available from the Old Home Day contact person, Carole Connolly. Call 603-432-8810 for tickets.

What do you mean a barbecue. I am a vegetarian and strongly resent the town and my tax dollars in any way funding the consumption of meat. Maybe I can get a couple other vegetarians to complain to the Londonderry Times and they can write a two page story this time attacking the OHD Committee for funding the immoral consumption of meat. So what does the Times have against OHD ?
