Hooksett Toll Taker Robbed at Gunpoint

Suspect eludes capture

This morning August 6, 2012 at approximately 1:03 am, State Police units from Troop’s D and B responded to the Hooksett Toll Plaza for a report of an armed robbery. Investigation revealed that a male suspect approached a toll booth on foot, displayed a handgun and forcibly took an undisclosed amount of cash from the toll attendant’s money drawer. The toll attendant was unharmed.

The suspect fled on foot and an extensive search of the area was conducted with the assistance of a State Police K9. Despite the Troopers best efforts, the suspect was not apprehended. An active investigation is on going at this time. The suspect is described as a white male of medium build who was wearing a black plastic face mask, shorts and a dark colored T-shirt. There is no further description at this time. The pistol was described as being black and gray in color.

The Hooksett Police Department also assisted in checking the surrounding area.
