The Town of Londonderry, NH is seeking an effective leader with a proven record of innovative, professional management experience to serve as the new Town Manager. The position requires oversight of many of the Town’s operations and candidates must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, among other qualities.
The Town Manager position requires a person to be responsible for administrative and financial affairs of the Town, overseeing day-to-day operations by managing all departments, and implementing policies established by the Town Council. The Town Manager will also oversee a $32 million annual budget and a workforce of over 200, most of which are covered by 6 collective bargaining agreements.
The successful candidate must possess the ability to effectively promote organizational excellence, exceptional community services, and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a high level of ethics and integrity.
Educational and work experience requirements include ten years of relevant senior management experience and a Bachelors degree in public administration or a related field. MPA or related advanced degree is strongly preferred. The Town Manager need not be a resident of the Town or the State of New Hampshire at the time of appointment, but may reside outside of Town while in office only with the approval of four members of the Town Council.
