Local 4-H volunteers have gathered donations from generous local craftspeople and businesses and will be offering this exciting collection of new merchandise and gift certificates at their annual auction at this year’s Stratham Fair. There is something for everyone! Visitors to the fair, supporters of 4-H, and auction fans are sure to find something they want, need, and love when they stop by the 4-H Exhibition Building on Saturday.

The 4-H Benefit Auction is sponsored by the Rockingham County 4-H Foundation. It is the major fundraiser effort to help send local youth to county, state, and national events. In addition, auction proceeds support 4-H Youth Development programs, as well as provide continuing education scholarships and recognition for 4-H youth and volunteer leaders.

The 4-H Youth Development program of UNH Cooperative Extension strives to create supportive program environments where youth have a sense of belonging and a desire to grow in knowledge and skill. Key elements include: caring adult leaders, inclusive environments, safe places, opportunities to learn and master skills, opportunities for youth to be active participants in their own future, and practice leadership and service learning.  For more information on 4-H clubs and programs in Rockingham County, call (603) 679-5616 or click here.
