Annual Art in Action to be held this Weekend!

White Birch Fine Art Gallery would like to invite the public to their annual Art-in-Action open studio event. The event will be held both May 5 and 6, 2012, from 10 AM until 4 PM. The idea behind the event is to allow the public to watch the creative process behind a work of art.More than 20 local working artists are scheduled to participate in this year’s event. The artists will gather at Mack’s Apples Farm Stand and will be available for sharing tip and techniques about oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels and more. They will have on display samples of their work. Several styles, subjects, and sizes will be available for sale.

Also this year, Londonderry High School art teacher Mimi Johnson has arranged to have four living statues on site from 9 AM until noon on both Saturday and Sunday. Mimi and a few other artists will also be painting plain air in one of the Mack’s Apples fields.

    AWESOME JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To all the High School Students who stood for three hours as statutes yesterday trying to raise money for their annual book which costs them $2,800 to produce. It is GREAT to publicize the OUTSTANDING GREATNESS of our Teens, instead of all the doom and gloom we all hear in the news these days! WAY TO GO LHS ART STUDENTS AND TEACHERS!!!! You can still support this challenge by sending your donation to the LHS Arts Dept. Stop by today and support these FANTASTIC TEENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
