Lancers Fall to Memorial

Londonderry Lancers played Memorial last night at Lancer Park.  According to Coach Demas, “Londonderry started strong in the season opener by jumping out to a 3-0 lead. Vinny Parilla had a big 2 RBI single and Jake Cassidy had a solid RBI double in the first frame. Unfortunately that was all the offense the Lancers could muster on the day. Missed opportunities and the inability to make adjustments in the box lead to an overall below-average performance at the plate today.”

“On the other side Keith Simpson started and threw well. The defense made some fundamental mistakes that you can’t make against a team like Memorial- and it cost them. Simpson threw much better than his line showed. Let’s hope this is a wake up call and the boys bounce back this Friday against Alvirne. Next pitch!”
