The Town Council and School Board recorded a couple of videos that go over the rules/process of the upcoming deliberative sessions
Town Deliberative here
School Deliberative here
The worst thing for our schools/kids would be to elect the Baldasaro disciples: Douglas and Tamburello to the School Board. These two would simply erode the educational excellence here in Londonderry as a first step, and step two would be to watch our home values further erode as a result.
Save our schools and save our home investments. Do not vote for these 2.
Janie, can you be more specific? In order to erode “educational excellence” they would have to propose a specific agenda to do that. Can you cite what it is they are proposing that would cause this?
I would also ask what you base your current opinion of “educational excellence” on?? What do you see as Londonderry schools as offering “educational excellence”? Are you referring to the standardized assessments??
Those assessments are based on poor academic standards. FYI
Anyone who knows these candidates (or any of the Baldasaro diciples for that matter) knows that these people are not friends of education or our kids’ best interests. They are slash and burn reactionaries of the farthest point on the right wing spectrum. They will use every possible technique there is to starve the schools into mediocre output. WIll it take another $50K of home value loss before you use that brain you claim to own? Who will want to live in a town with a declining school system? People have finally come to realize how bad Baldasaro has been for this town. His minions are just as bad. Let’s stop the madness before it does permanent damage.
Janie, you make the assumption that money = quality education. I am afraid that assumption simply doesn’t hold water when you look at the current state of education.
We’ve spent MORE money on education in this country and the test scores remain stagnant.
Canada spends less per pupil ant their students outperform the U.S. students.
Cutting spending or increasing spending means NOTHING to me as a mom and a voter. What is it exactly they will do to harm the quality of education in the classroom?
These kids lack the basics. If it takes more money to drill the basics into students, then we are doing a lousy job right now.
The fact is, schools do not focus on teaching the basic facts. They touch on them, but the kids never really master.
I’d like to hear serious accusations that anyone running does not have the best interest of the students at heart. Mud slinging doesn’t cut it for me. I was hoping you had SOME substance to your charges.
