Steven McDermott, 42, of Connecticut is missing. He was last heard from on January 20, 2012 when he was speaking to his son on a cell phone.
Police say Steven works for a house appraisal company and travels extensively around New England.
Authorities say they are concerned because he sent a text message on January 18, 2012 stating that he “was looking forward to going to a better place.” He was supposed to meet a man in Manchester, New Hampshire two weeks ago, but never showed up, said police.
Steven has a past medical history and may frequent casinos, said police.
He may be driving a black 2002 Nissan Altima, with Illinois registration N746328.
