everal police incidents occurred over the last week in Londonderry, including some drug related charges, theft, and harassment calls.
The incidents begin on January 5, 2012, when Charles Mackie of Salem, NH turned himself into Londonderry Police custody. Mackie, age 58, was charged with Harassment over the phone and was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. He is scheduled to appear on January 23, 2012 in Derry District Court.
On January 6, 2012 at about 2:.13 PM, Brandon Castiglione also turned himself in on a warrant. The 17-year-old from Londonderry was charged with Simple Assault and Criminal Mischief/Vandalism. Castiglione was released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail and will appear in Derry District Court on January 23, 2012.
Also on the 6th, Londonderry Police served a warrant to Steven Rossignol, 52 of Salem. He was charged with four counts of Issuing Bad Checks and was held
on $2,000 cash bail. He was unable to post bail and was subsequently transported to Rockingham County Jail where he was held until his arraignment on January 9, 2012.
Londonderry Police responded to a shoplifting incident at Market Basket on January 8, 2012 at about 10:41 AM. According to the police log, Manager Mr. Lemieux was in foot pursuit of two white female shoplifters who reportedly stole baby formula. Both females were described as wearing grey hoodies.
Mr. Lemieux continued his foot pursuit of one of the females, who was running towards Wendy’s then VIP. He was finally able to catch her and awaited police to arrive. The other female was reportedly detained at Market Basket.
Police subsequently arrested Sarah Beth Chadwick, 32 of Gilford, NH during this incident. Chadwick was charged with Theft/Shoplifting and two counts of Possession of Controlled or Narcotic Drugs. She was held on $5,000 cash bail and was arraigned the following day in Derry.
At just after midnight on January 9, 2012, Londonderry police arrested Casey Burke near the intersection of Rockingham Road and Liberty Drive. Burke, 22 of Franklin, NH, was charged with Operating without a Valid License and Speeding. He was held on $1,000 cash bail and was arraigned that same day in Derry.
On January 10, 2012, Londonderry Police arrested Ruslan Karkachov, 25 of Portland, Maine. After stopping his vehicle near the Shell Food Mart on Nashua Road, police arrested Karkachov and charged him with Motor Vehicle Inspection Violations and Habitual Offender. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and will appear in Derry on January 30, 2012.
At about 4:57 PM on the 10th, Ryan St. Jean, 23 of Londonderry, turned himself in at the police station. St. Jean was charged with Duty to Report and was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. He will appear in Derry District Court on January 30, 2012.
Londonderry police initiated a motor vehicle stop on near Pillsbury Road and Gilcreast Road on January 11, at about 1:05 PM. The stop ended in a consent search of the vehicle and the
arrest of two occupants. Arrested was Russell Milliken, age 18 of Londonderry, and Nathaniel Devoe, age 23 also of Londonderry.
Milliken was charged with Possession of Drugs in a Motor Vehicle and was released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail. Devoe was charged with Possession of Controlled or Narcotic Drugs and was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail. Both will appear in Derry District Court on
January 30, 2012.
This was Milliken’s second arrest in just over a month. On December 4, 2011, he turned himself in on an arrest warrant and was then charged with Unlawful Possession and Intoxication and four counts of Possession of Controlled or Narcotic Drugs. He was arraigned for those charges on December 19, 2011.
Londonderry Police initiated a warrant service on the 11th at about 4:06 PM for the Derry Police Department. Arrested was Christopher Sullivan, age 24 of
Derry. No bail or court information is available. About a year ago, Sullivan was arrested in Londonderry for a bench warrant. Londonderry police had initiated a check on a disable car on Nashua Road and discovered the warrant out of Salem. He was arrested and paid the required $360 to clear the warrant.
