Mall to Host Second Annual Muscle Walk this Weekend

The Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester will host its second annual Muscle Dystrophy Association (MDA) Muscle Walk this Sunday, January 29, 2012. With more than 200 people expected to participate, including those served by the association, hopes are high that the event will raise more than $40,000.

During the event, participants can expect an announcement from the MDA State goodwill ambassador Adam Villeneuve, entertainment from DJ Chris White from True Entertainment, and games. There will also be vendor tables, heart touching stories about why people walk in the event, an act from University of New Hampshire and much more.

Muscle Walk individuals and teams can register for the event in a number of ways. Visit the Muscle Walk website here or call 603-471-2722. Registration can also take place at the event, beginning at 9 AM on Sunday.

Individuals and teams are encouraged to raise at least $100 in donations. This is enough to fund one minute of Muscle Dystrophy research seeking treatments and cures for muscle diseases and the cost of seeing two kids smile. All money raised during the event will help area residents suffering from Muscular Dystrophy, ALS and related muscle diseases.

To learn more about the walk and how to register, visit the Muscle Walk website.
