January 22 LORI MCKENNA
Lori McKenna is a mother of five from Stoughton, Mass. (pop. 27,000), about 20 miles outside Boston. Lori McKenna is also an acclaimed singer-songwriter who was thrust into the limelight when superstar Faith Hill included three of McKenna’s songs on her Number One album Fireflies, including Hill’s poignant single “Stealing Kisses.”
“I don’t remember ever being impacted by a songwriter the way I was with her,” Hill says. “Her writing is masterful, with a pureness that is completely unaffected. The songs are such a great combination of depth and realness— there’s just this indescribable collision of innocence and honesty in her writing.”
Now it’s time for the original voice of Hill’s songs to be heard. “My priority is, I want to write great songs, timeless songs, songs that affect people,” McKenna says. “But if I have the blessing to be able to share the way I interpret my songs with people, then I want to do that, too.”

January 24 AUDRA MAE
Growing up, show business was in Audra Mae’s blood. Her great grandmother, Virginia, was a member of the Gumm Sisters, whose youngest member, Francis Ethel Gumm, grew up to be Judy Garland. Her paternal grandmother turned her on to country and folk artists like Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton and Woody Guthrie, while her maternal grandfather introduced her to jazz.
Since arriving in California seven years ago, on Elvis Presley’s birthday no less, with the proverbial $20 in her pocket, Audra Mae has done alright for herself. She landed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell, a TV placement singing Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young” on the hit F/X series, Sons of Anarchy, and in 2009, wrote the lyrics to “Why I Was Born to Die,” the only original track on Susan Boyle’s chart-topping, 9 million-selling I Dreamed a Dream album.
Since her acclaimed SideOneDummy Records debut, The Happiest Lamb, in May 2010, Oklahoma-born singer/songwriter Audra Mae has undergone quite a transformation. Her band, The Almighty Sound, including stand-up bassist Joe Ginsberg, guitarist Jarrad Kritzstein, pianist Frank Pedano and drummer Kiel Feher, who have played live with her in a series of residencies around the L.A. area, came together in early 2011 as a close group of friends with no official name. Not even a year later, they’ve completed a new record with a new name, a new look and an Almighty Sound.

March 31 JOAN OSBORNE
This is a full band performance!
In a career that spans over fifteen years, Joan has proven to be an artistically restless yet consistently enthralling performer. In 2002, she cemented her reputation as a top tier soul singer with an incredible turn in the acclaimed documentary film ‘Standing in the Shadows of Motown,’ followed by a tour with legendary Motown backing band The Funk Brothers. In 2003, Osborne toured with the Dixie Chicks and then surprised and wowed audiences touring throughout America for two years as the lead singer for The Dead. In 2007, she graced the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. Osborne loves to sing and perform in many different genres, but she comes back to her soulful rock roots on ‘Little Wild One,’ her fall release that reunites her Grammy All-Star team of Rick Chertoff and Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian of The Hooters. The team last worked together on Osborne’s breakthrough, debut album ‘Relish,’ which sold five million copies worldwide and yielded the smash hit “One Of Us” as well as scoring six Grammy nominations. April 14 MICKEY HART
Mickey Hart is best known for his nearly three decades as an integral part of an extraordinary expedition into the soul and spirit of music, disguised as the rock and roll band the Grateful Dead. As half of the percussion tandem known as the Rhythm Devils, Mickey and Bill Kreutzmann transcended the conventions of rock drumming. Their extended polyrhythmic excursions were highlights of Grateful Dead shows, introducing the band’s audience to an ever-growing arsenal of percussion instruments from around the world. Exposure to these exotic sounds fueled Mickey’s desire to learn about the various cultures that produced them. Listen

June 1 JAMES COTTON
Cotton has always been known for having one of the best bands in the business. The members are: Slam Allen, guitar, vocals; Tom Holland, guitar, vocals; Noel Neal, bass; Kenny Neal, Jr., drums; and, of course, Superharp, James Cotton. His eyes light up when he talks about his band, “My audience always tells me how I’m doing. If I look out there and don’t like what I see, I work harder.” His audiences are still on their feet, they enjoy themselves as much as he does, and there are still standing ovations night after night. You will have a memorable evening with an international treasure and a true Living Legend of the Blues. Listen

June 23 LUCY KAPLANSKY
She started out singing in Chicago bars. Then, barely out of high school, Lucy Kaplansky took off for New York City. There she found a fertile community of songwriters and performers – Suzanne Vega, John Gorka, Bill Morrissey, Cliff Eberhardt, and others – where she fit right in. With a beautiful flair for harmony, Lucy was everyone’s favorite singing partner, but most often she found herself singing as a duo with Shawn Colvin. People envisioned big things for them; in fact, The New York Times said it was “easy to predict stardom for her.” Listen
