Candidate Filing for Londonderry Election Opens

Those interested in running to be a part of Londonderry School District’s School Board or a position within the Town of Londonderry can announce their candidacy by filing with the Town between January 25, 2012 and February 3, 2012. Elections will be held on March 13, 2012 to select numerous candidates.

Available Town positions are as follows:

• Town Council, one position, three year term
• Budget Committee, two positions, three year term
• Town Moderator, one position, two year term
• Town Treasurer, one position, one year term
• Supervisors of the Checklist, one position, six year term
• Trustees of Leach Library, two positions, three year term
• Trustees of Leach Library, one position, two year term
• Trustees of Trust Funds, one position, three year term

To file for a Town Position visit the Town Clerk’s Office, located at 268B Mammoth Road, Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5 PM. Hopeful candidates must be registered voters by or on January 24, 2012 in order to file.

Available School Board positions are as follows:

• Two positions, three year term
  

To make arrangements to file for a School Board position, candidates can contact Ms. Lynn MacDonald, School District Clerk, at 603-437-2715. For more information, contact the Londonderry School District Office at 603-432-6920 extension 1103. Ms. MacDonald will be at the School District Offices from 3 PM until 5 PM on Friday, February 3, 2012 for final filing.
