This Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17, 2011, Mack’s Apples in Londonderry will host a Down to Earth Celebration. This free-to-the-public event will have a variety of environmental information available to participants. Experts and displays will be on site to answer questions and teach visitors about gardening and renewable energy, among other topics.
Visitors at Mack’s this weekend can expect to find information about geothermal, wind and solar energies, sustainable products and incentive programs and home energy audits. They can talk about growing their own garden with experts, and learn about organic gardening and saving green space.
eCars of New England will be one of the many exhibitors at the Down to Earth Celebration. This Hudson, New Hampshire company produces innovative and environmentally-conscious electric cars. Many of the cars run on electricity only and all are environmentally friend. eCars will be on site to promote their cars and talk about the benefits of owning one.
Planet Aid and the American Red Cross will also spend the weekend at Mack’s. Both organizations will be collecting clothing and shoe donations for the relief effort in Japan. What a perfect time to start spring cleaning and make a difference in the world!
Broadcasting live, Jim and Bethany from the Jim and Bethany in the Morning Show will be at Mack’s Apples. From 106.3 Frank FM, this radio duet will be hosting their show from 10 AM until 1 PM on Saturday only!
