Jong Mi Edinger, Prudential Verani Realty Londonderry agent and Londonderry resident, was the Toastmaster at a recently held Annual Fundraiser for the National Association of Korean American Inter-Cultural Family Mission (NAICFM). The NAICFM is the only national Korean Women’s organization providing evangelism, support and advocacy of inter-cultural Korean women, Amerasian children and their families. The purpose of the Association is to examine and exchange information about the uniqueness of intercultural marriages and their families. They are advocates for the abused and homeless Korean American women and their Amerasian children.
According to Jong Mi who is VP of the Southern NH Chapter for the NAICFM, “We held the fundraiser to raise money to build a mission center called the Peace House nearby the NAICFM Headquarters located in St. Louis, Missouri as the organization is presently sponsoring 16 women who need a place to live. We also provide scholarships for Amerasian children who have been abandoned by their American fathers”. She further added, “I have been involved with NAICFM since 1998 and not only have I learned a lot but I realize how fortunate I am compared to others who do not have they life that they dreamed of.” Jong Mi also stated that the Southern NH Chapter is a small group but they help as many as possible both locally and nationally.
