Four Arrested in Londonderry in One Night, Separate Incidents, All Intoxicated

Police Logs for 01/27/11 – 02/02/11

More than ten arrests were made during this week’s police logs. Four of these occurred on the evening of January 28, as the result of different incidents. All of those arrested were DUI’s.

Londonderry Police received a report of a hit and run at 7:07 PM. The log indicated that a silver Nissan Exterra struck the caller when he was coming out of Landmark Crossing. Police responded to the caller in the parking lot of the Home Depot on Nashua Road before responding to the home of the suspect vehicle. The report indicates that the suspect vehicle was there upon police arrival and the “operator still behind the wheel of the vehicle.” Police took the driver, 41-year old Robert DeAngelis into custody. DeAngelis was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Second Offense), Driving After Revocation or Suspension, and Conduct After an Accident.

The second arrest happened at 8:11 PM. Police received a call reporting an “erratic op that crashed into snowbank” on Winding Pond Road. Police made contact with both the driver and the complainant and subsequently arrested the driver. Laura Roberts, 38 of Londonderry, was taken to Parkland for voluntary blood withdrawal, and was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Liquor.

At 11:33 PM, police stopped a vehicle under the bridge of the Interstate 93 overpass near Exit 5. The driver, Shawn Demmons, 43 of Londonderry, was taken to Parkland for testing, and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Second Offense). Police gave the passenger a courtesy ride home.

The final incident occurred just ten minutes later, at 11:43 PM. The log states a “caller reporting a grey or tan SUV off the road, caller did not see anyone with the vehicle” in the between Shasta and Mayflower roads on High Range Road. An officer found the vehicle and tested the driver for sobriety. The operator, 30-year-old Todd Ford of Litchfield, refused testing at Parkland. He was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs or Liquor.

Each week, Londonderry Hometown Online News will publish the police logs for your review. We will also pick the most interesting of the stories. If there are any that you found interesting or funny and think they should be in the top three, feel free to contact us.

While we also create original stories from information in the police log and other sources, we offer you nearly the entire Londonderry police blotter! At times we remove small pieces of information like phone numbers or obscene language. When other media outlets only provide their “Selections” from the log, if you select “read more” you select what interests you in Londonderry.

Same came in to speak with me about a subject R calling a mutual friend of theirs.
R has left a voice mail with their friend stating he does not want his son “M” hanging with Re’s child.
R lives in Salem but his Ex (J) lives in Londonderry.
I made contact with R and informed him that he should not be in contact with the Re family, because it sounds like his issue is with J.
I told him that he has not committed any crime, but he should be careful on how he approaches contacting people regarding his son.
He expressed he wanted to speak with Re to advise him that “He hopes he will respect his wishes”.
R feels is not a positive friend of M’s.
