Town Council Candidates Forum

Londonderry Town Council Candidates provided on-demand from Londonderry Hometown Online News. Thanks to Marty Bove, the host and producer of the show for permission to provide this service to Londonderry voters. Thanks also to Drew Caron at the access studio for a copy of the DVD so we could render it to “Londonderry Tube”

Eleven specific questions were asked of the candidates, we have split them up into two stories. This is the first half, you will find the videos are not long and you can view them when you have time.

In This story

  • Candidates, what are your three priorities?
  • Regional improvements like Petengill Road and the widening of 93
  • Development, Spending and the quality of life as it relates to open space
  • How do you engage the community in Town Politics?
  • Public Safety, will you expand it and when or will you cut it?
  • Expenses and Revenue, what will you do now to save the taxpayer money?

April Guilmet of the Londonderry Times asks “What will be your top three priorities if you are elected to Town Council.”

Resident Elizabeth Larocca 45 winding pond asks how important are regional infrastructure coalitions to you for projects like the Route 93 widening and Pettingill Road.

Mike Speltz inquires on Development, Spending and Quality of life. Based on what he has heard from the candidates, some will cut spending and some will ad to the tax base. He wants to know what will our quality of life be in the far future as it relates to open space.

April Guilmet reporter for the Londonderry Times asks as a town councilor how would you engage the community to become more active in town politics?

A voter understands, everyone wants good roads and public safety. However, last week the Fire and Police Department wanted to increase spending “in the near future.” Compensation was also part of the question. All framed with the bad economy in mind.

Deb Nowicki asks about expensive and revenues and what will you do “now” to help the town to save money.
