A light season has created a path by the stonewalls of Londonderry, New Hampshire to Darker Maple Sugar and large crowds at the closest sugar shack to I93 in southern New Hampshire.
Hank Peterson with the help of his regular staff and extra helpers gave tours yesterday from noon to 5pm. They ended up starting earlier as some of our south of the border friends from Boston could not wait to see the sap turned into our sweet Londonderry Maple treat.
Unless you want to see Mr. Peterson in his big fuzzy robe we recommend arriving today, Sunday March 28th no sooner than noon. No worries the evaporator is filling with sap the freezer is stocked with fresh Maple Ice Cream and the pecans are warming on the stove.
The Maple Sugar? This time of year it is always warm on the stove in this nearby sugar shack.
If you are looking for something fun to do in Southern New Hampshire and would like to see some happy faces in your family today visit Londonderry!

When you finish your Tour of Peterson Sugar House located just minutes from Exit 4 on Route 93 take the short 1 mile trip up Peabody Row, turn right onto Mammoth Road. The first farm on the right is Mack’s Apples.
Yes they have Apples!
You can even pick them yourself even though it is late March, although you will need to pick them from a bin for now. The trees were just trimmed and the blossoms should be out soon.
