NH Maple Weekend at Full Steam!

A light season has created a path by the stonewalls of Londonderry, New Hampshire to Darker Maple Sugar and large crowds at the closest sugar shack to I93 in southern New Hampshire.

Hank Peterson with the help of his regular staff and extra helpers gave tours yesterday from noon to 5pm. They ended up starting earlier as some of our south of the border friends from Boston could not wait to see the sap turned into our sweet Londonderry Maple treat.

Unless you want to see Mr. Peterson in his big fuzzy robe we recommend arriving today, Sunday March 28th no sooner than noon. No worries the evaporator is filling with sap the freezer is stocked with fresh Maple Ice Cream and the pecans are warming on the stove.

The Maple Sugar? This time of year it is always warm on the stove in this nearby sugar shack.

If you are looking for something fun to do in Southern New Hampshire and would like to see some happy faces in your family today visit Londonderry!

Stopped off today to buy some of Hank’s wonderful Maple Roasted Pecans.

At 4pm the parking lot was still full and a new tour was just starting. It was great to see a bunch of out of state people visiting one of Londonderry’s treasures.

Thanks for another great jar of pecan Hank!

We took our two little ones to Hank’s on Saturday and it was great. The ice cream with the pecans and syrup on top was probably the best little cup of ice cream I have ever had.
If anyone reading this has never visited Hank’s, you should definitely stop by and check it out, especially this year where the maple syrup was cut in half by the early warm days of the spring season. They could definitely use our support this year.
Well worth a few bucks for their real syrup and pecans.
