Boston Celtics in Londonderry’s House

Today at the Londonderry Middle School children of ages got to experience what it is like to walk on the court with Boston Celtics guard Eddie House, and Celtics legend Cedric Maxwell. Over 60 children, parents, and students watched as these Celtics demonstrated and gave pointers on such topics as defense, and shooting techniques. Even Londonderry’s own Stephanie Murphy, now playing for Boston College, was on hand to learn some tips on what it takes to be a good defensive player.

It was quite amusing while watching the crowd. The Londonderry Online News could not tell who was more excited about the Celtic visit; the young children watching or the fathers and mothers that accompanied their child.

Earlier Boston Celtics guard Eddie House, Celtics legend Cedric Maxwell and RE/MAX of New England presented the Wells family with their new home court makeover as this year’s winners of the RE/MAX of New England Home Court Program. After the makeover Eddie and Cedric held a clinic at the Londonderry Middle School. Many parents remarked what a great opportunity this was for their child to be on the court with two Celtics.
